Took a slight step sideways away from the world of annual accounts preparation towards the more meticulous realm of bookkeeping. My current job role is to personally manage, process and prepare the monthly/quarterly bookkeeping for over 60 clients.Prepare VAT returns, CIS submissions, cash flow forecasting and management accounts up to a standard that the year end accounts need no explanation all within the relevant deadlines set by both HMRC and Wilkinson & Partners.Preparing the monthly information on a wide variety of accountancy programs, Sage Line 50, Sage One, Xero, Kashflow, Excel, Vintner, Quickbooks & Clearbooks.

I joined Broadbents Accountants in November 2012 in a semi senior role as the opportunity was to good to miss.My current work duties include:• Analyse client books/records• Produce final accounts (sole traders up to Ltd company accounts (audit exempt))• Prepare CT600.• Producing quarterly VAT returns (inc EC sales) and submitting online via the HMRC website.• Sage Line 50 for Bookkeeping purposes.• Quarterly management accounts dealing with prepayments, accruals, etc.• In order to assist in problems with the clients bookkeeping, I can remotely access client computers.• General day-to-day computer problems in the office are usually referred to me if the IT guy is not available (e.g. printers not working etc.)• Prepare letters to clients informing them of vital accounts information i.e. when their CT is due for payments etc.Software used:• Sage Client Manager (Sage Line 50)• Sage One• Sage Accounts Production• Sage Corporation Tax• Sage Winforecast• Sage Payroll• Microsoft Excel• Microsoft Outlook• Teamviewer• CCH Document manager• Comfortable with all Microsoft Office software

I started my accountancy career in August 2009 after completing my A Levels and here is where i studied my AAT qualification.Once qualified i branched out from doing accounts preparation and extended my knowledge base to now include Bookkeeping, Management Accounting and took a keen interest in all things computerised mainly the very popular accounting package of sage.
