I have been around the construction industry my entire life. Grandfather owned a gravel plant, mom was an operator. I knew I'd follow suit. started in the ground laboring. actively watching the operators ahead of my, to learn how to set up and execute when given the opportunity. started paving same time I started grading. absolutely love the black gold. actively working toward securing a foreman position, preferably a paving foreman but can also do grading. always striving for more, and I won't settle at just an operator. when I make it to foreman, I'll start my journey toward being a superintendent. my end game is to own and operate my own company paving driveways. 2022 and 2023 have not been my greatest years, I have had a lot of set backs and disappointments. And my work did start to get affected by it. I had bouts of depression and for a lil while was becoming unreliable. I have taken several months off work, to get my mental health back together and now it's time to start climbing the ladder of whichever company feels I maybe the missing link they've been seeking. I am motivated and ready. if I'm treated with respect in the workplace and given opportunity to grow with the company, I'm willing to give that company every skill and ounce of dedication I have to ensure we are successful.excited and waiting to find my home, wherever that may land me.
