I founded this company to accommodate my independent efforts in energy conscious sustainable design. In May 2019 I was asked to present at International conference in China. As a result a the hosting institute established a new organization to pursue research and application of the concepts presented. Architecture is alchemy; Planning is seeing beyond the visible; Design is patient search for perfection. Buildings and public spaces should be integrated, organic, generative, culturally relevant and should emanate from environmental cues. I am a champion of alternative project delivery methods which promote high quality and efficiency such as: Designer-Led Design-Build and Integrated Project Delivery.

Within a year of returning to the US, OLBN reached out to me inviting me back. They needed Senior Architect’s expertise for quality review and project leadership. They also needed someone with experience designing for various types of office and laboratory space at NIH. I was happy to return to my longtime associates. Since then, I have helped both the DTSB team at NIH, and OLBN’s main studio adopt more efficient production practices integrating Building Information Modeling on a Revit platform.

In 2017, I wanted to return to the US, but the US architectural studio was slow. Instead, I accepted a position supporting my long-time friends in their Designer-Led Design-Build enterprise. I worked closely with them to make sure that we provided the most efficient and effective means to bring our client’s dreams into reality with the highest possible value for their investment.

As OLBN opportunities developed in China and Southeast Asia, I was reposted to China as director of design and planning. The position extended the previous responsibilities to managing and facilitating efforts for the new projects now underway. These projects include high end luxury resorts, as well as, new state of the art green master-planning of new cities in China. I have an ongoing relationship providing support as necessary as a free-lance consultant.

I pioneered the following: Designer-Led Design-Build for GSA's White House Center Field Office, and initiated practice of Integrated Design as a component of OLBN's Strategic Planning Efforts for St. Elizabeths Camps on behalf of GSA and DHS. I led the initial application of laser scanning and building information modeling for master planning. I led the space planning, interior design, architectural design and furniture specification effort for the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute, Bethesda MD. I matured our relationship with GSA NCR project managers and executives.
