I'm the music director for The Open Temple, leading our fantastic band and building creative connections between music and prayer.

I'm the music teacher for grades K-6, so I get to work with every student over a long stretch of time. It's really exciting getting to know each kid and seeing them grow musically, develop musical interests, and perform a lot! I've grown into my role helping lead services, as well, and have been training a group of students to create new songs, sing, and accompany themselves.

Santa Barbara, California Area

I've been teaching band classes to students in grades 5-12. Organizing on-campus student performances, participation in jazz festivals, community service events, and performances at outside venues. My students have focused on professionalism in performance and even the fifth and sixth graders play great songs in exciting arrangements. The high school students work on improvisation and interpreting songs in their own styles. I welcome student recommendations in selecting songs, but also choose songs that would benefit students due to the skills required to play them.

Greater Los Angeles Area

I teach, compose, arrange, and perform music. I offer piano, guitar, and bass lessons at students' homes or at my home studio. I also work with bands on songs they can perform together and techniques they can use to sound more unified. I compose and perform original music and arrange covers of other people's compositions. Enjoy arranging songs for unique ensembles and for others to perform. I play jazz and a myriad of other styles of music, playing piano and keyboards primarily.

Teaching music classes that included elements of music appreciation, history, theory, and performance to students at an international boarding high school. Taught students individually and in groups on instruments including piano, guitar, bass, drums, saxophone, violin, cello, pipa (Chinese), and marimba (Guatemalan). Arranged music for students of varying levels of proficiency. Taught Chorus class as well, teaching singing and music theory, while focusing on popular repertoire.
