Serve the FHWA-IL Division as the CREATE and Con-RAC Program Manager by providing leadership and technical assistance in all phases of project development, program delivery, and stewardship of Federal-aid projects. Coordinate, advise, and explain Federal laws, regulations, policies, and requirements pertaining to the Federal-aid highway program and monitored compliance via design/environmental reviews and construction inspections of the $4.6 billion CREATE Program and the $800 million O’Hare Consolidated Rental Car (Con-RAC) and Airport Transit System (ATS) Extension Project, which is funded by a TIFIA loan. I worked with the City of Chicago to close out the $100 million TIFIA loan for the Chicago Riverwalk.Advised on the fiscally constrained program of projects and the overall Statewide Freight Plan for Illinois. This was instrumental in Illinois achieving a FAST Act compliant freight plan.Continued my roles on the national Program and Project Delivery Webinar Team and as a Co-Champion for the Major Projects Discipline. Served on the Discretionary Grants Fully Leveraging our Expertise (FLEx) Team from February 2020 to August 2020. I brought a Division Office perspective to the team that was aimed at exploring a corporate approach to resource sharing when reviewing congressional discretionary grants. FHWA Recruitment and Outreach Ambassador (ROaD) since September 2019.

Manage the day-to-day operations of the PDP Program. Engage with the Talent Development Division Chief, PDP participants, coaches, supervisors, discipline champions, and agency leadership. Act as the initial point of contact for all coaches and participants; provide guidance to coaches and participants for determining developmental assignments and creating a developmental plan; implementing the PDP Academy and PDP Coach’s Training; monitoring participants’ progress and funding needs; maintaining an effective participant information tracking system; placing participants in their first permanent position, and continually evaluating PDP quality and effectiveness. Involved in the publication of PDP vacancy announcements and selection and hiring of PDP participants into the program.

Served the FHWA-NY Division as the Area Engineer for the Southern Tier and Hudson Valley of New York. I completed the Final Cost to Complete as the Appalachian Development Highway System Coordinator and coordinated with FHWA-HQ and the state of New York to designate interstates I-86 and I-99. Tasked to provide insights specific to the Southern Tier of New York for the FHWA-NY Division Freight Committee, which shaped the Statewide Freight Plan. The Portageville Train Bridge EIS project enabled me to gain valuable experience working with a non-traditional private railway partner on a significant construction project in Letchworth State Park.Facilitated the FHWA-MN and MnDOT visit to I-84 Ultra High Performance Concrete bridge project in October 2015 and the NYSDOT Longitudinal Utility Accommodation Meeting with multiple state and federal agencies in May 2015.Joined the Program and Project Delivery Team in September 2015. Gained valuable experience and confidence working with federal, state, and local agencies during the Emergency Relief Events of Tropical Storms Lee and Irene in 2011 and Hurricane Sandy in 2012.Volunteered to be the co-lead of the Every Day Counts II initiative for 3D Modeling in the FHWA-NY Division and facilitated the Civil Integrated Management (CIM) Workshop on March 27, 2013 in Albany, NY with over 150 people from NYSDOT, FHWA, Consultants, Contractors, Software Developers, and Academics.

Learned how to design highways, intersections, and sidewalks at the New York State Department of Transportation during my Professional Development Program design assignment. Educated my state counterparts in the day to day functions of an Area Engineer at FHWA. This design assignment showed me the value of cross training with other disciplines.My construction assignment was the $350 Million Dollar Wacker Drive Viaduct Reconstruction Project in Chicago. I not only learned about the inner workings of every building for emergency purposes, construction challenges for every movable bridge, freight tunnel, and sewer system, but I was also tasked with solving a complex viaduct staging sequence at the Lyric Opera House.

Civil Engineering Intern at the Federal Highway Administration in Albany, NY. During the summers of 2009 and 2010, I took it upon myself to assemble and coach the FHWA NY-Division Softball Team. I coordinated with various federal agencies in the Albany area to create a Federal Agency Softball League. I was recognized for boosting morale in the office by the Division’s Leadership Team.
