You know how nonprofits are always looking to improve their membership numbers and organizational value? I solved this. I do it by expanding our programs and projects within the mission statement and organizational purpose. I have been gifted with my nonprofit career. I discovered a profession I enjoy, which lets me positively impact my community and environment. I do not go to work every day; I go to my occupation and my passion, instead. I was taught by gifted and generous people who shared their experiences and knowledge. While I was taught to seek innovative and constructive answers, I also think out-of-the-box and consider unconventional answers. I am a proactive and aggressive manager. My career has included a variety of nonprofit programs which has given me an in-depth knowledge of how the nonprofit world works. I am trained in economic development, fund raising, organization/board and project management, public advocacy, and working with state legislatures. I have led boards, community leadership groups and staff in the development of mission and goal setting, creating objectives for dynamic, action-oriented organizations. I have assisted in revitalizing downtowns, creating public art projects, recognized workforce development programs, educational seminars and other value-added projects. My legislative experience includes working on property and gasoline taxation, township and local governmental reorganization, transportation and environmental issues.I enjoy the world of ideas and theory but work by logical and orderly methods to implement innovative solutions. I relish building systems, developing strategies and applying theoretical models that are right for the challenge at hand. I like to solicit input from others and am open to being challenged. I am flexible, willing to give on less important points and details, but committed to my goals and objectives. I am innovative, organized, determined, confident, independent and able to grasp the complex.
