Lendlease is a leading international property and investments group, with operations in Australia, Americas, Asia and Europe.Highlights of my time at Lendlease include leading the end-to-end transformation of the global treasury function, building and leading a high performing, customer oriented global team, establishing Lendlease as a leader amongst Australian corporates in sustainable financing (winning the 2020 KangaNews Sustainability Bond Deal of the Year award) and helping our businesses create amazing places. The treasury team at Lendlease manages a global funding and risk portfolio for both Lendlease and for over 50 managed projects and funds, to enable delivery of development projects in major cities around the world and to support growth in funds under management.

Asciano was an ASX top 50 listed company, and, through its Pacific National and Patrick businesses, was Australia’s largest rail freight and ports operator. In this role I established the treasury team, processes, systems, policies and governance framework upon Asciano’s demerger from Toll Holdings.At Asciano I led the restructuring of the group’s $5.4bn in debt and played a key role in maintaining the group's solvency as well as the company's successful recapitalisation via a $2.45bn equity raising.We were one of four finalists for the AFR 2010 Treasury of the Year award and won the 2010 KangaNews and 2010 Insto offshore bond deal of the year awards.

Rinker was one of the largest construction materials companies in the world, was an ASX top 20 company, and was also listed on the NYSE. In this role I established the treasury team, processes, systems, policies and governance framework upon Rinker’s demerger from CSR.The highlights of my time at Rinker were leading all Rinker related debt restructuring activities to enable the demerger, obtaining initial credit ratings for the group, arranging funding for a proposed US$20bn cross-border merger, and leading three separate on-market share buybacks.

CSR was an ASX top 30 company with businesses in sugar, building materials, construction materials aluminium refining, alumina mining and forestry. In this role I advised executive management and the board on, and led implementation of initiatives relating to funding, capital structure and distribution policy.

Bankers Trust was a leading full service investment bank in Australia. As part of Bankers Trust Corporate Finance, in this role I originated and executed leveraged buyouts and acquisition financings for private equity funds, and advised clients on acquisition funding, financial strategy and capital structure.

In this role I prepared and presented recommendations to Bankers Trust’s Credit Committee on counterparty risk. Working primarily with the bank's Corporate Finance business, my focus was on leveraged and management buyouts, acquisition financing and complex corporate exposures.
