It prides itself in working with individual partners, devising strategy for emergency and disaster relief; establishing robust and inclusive banking; investing in economic growth; and supporting those facing financial hardship in vulnerable communities.Key Achievements: Renewing the partnership with Westpac Lifesaver Rescue Helicopter Service for a further 4 years while expanding the related in-school programme to include 118 participating schools; Approved and awarded over $3m in local community grants for Australian small businesses; Collaborated with Westpac Bicentennial Foundation to create a one of contribution of $100 milllion from the Westpac Group to fund 100 scholarships every year in perpetuity for talented and ambitious Australians; Facilitated logistical support for the Red Shield Appeal including the voluntary opening of 80+ branches staffed by Westpac volunteers to facilitate collections for this wonderful cause.
