I acted as contract CFO for a Microsoft supplier providing incentivised software learning systems for Microsoft software products, covering the years from 2006. Specifically:• Supported Owner/Executive and controlled financial operations as CFO.• Created 3 year financial model for Bargello Farm operations for investor presentations. • Created & maintained weekly key performance indicator report for Owner - analyzed results.• Developed and maintained weekly cash flow forecast with one year plus look-ahead.• Created and analyzed financial projections for UpSellUSA Inc. sale and bank presentations.• Developed and made presentations for LOC applications, with LOC award for 20% of annual revenues.• Assisted CEO on a wide variety of management issues from developing employee performance bonus systems to evaluating and recommending alternative ideas for company development.• Developed year-end tax strategies with CPA, and oversaw preparation of tax filings.These activities were in addition to continuing activities with some of the projects below.

Many of the projects during this time were in support of new business ideas - creating Investment standard business plans, both text and financial projections. My support involved 'fleshing' out the time frame and costs/revenues to be determined making specific assumptions, performing sensitivity analyses, and for legal purposes/'blue sky laws', highlighting caveats. and downside events as well as upside potential. Specifically:• Analyzed and evaluated a variety of start-up and continuing projects covering health product manufacturing and sales, on-line poker site development, oil shale development, and a Formula One (F-1) racetrack, and Motor Sports Club.• Created Investor Private Offering financial statements, from cash flows to projected P&L’s and Balance Sheets, for presentation in private stock offerings, • Initiated/developed F-1 project management plan and schedule for construction and marketing operations. • Created F-1 site assessment protocol to ensure site selection on objective and economic basis.• Brought in contractors and advisors to development and planning meetings to ensure accurate time and cash flow projections on design, construction, marketing, and operations forecasts.• Converted F-1 cash flows into CPA approved pro-forma accounting projections.• Developed F-1 cash flow/break-even analyses and created complete F-1 investment grade business plan.• Created five year project management, operations and financial projections for company (OilTech) producing oil from oil-shale.• Analyzed break-even, most likely, and best case analyses, and presented to executive management.• Created full corporate & investor grade business plans for company producing oil from oil-shale.• Proposed/developed 20 year oil shale development plans basis for investor and government presentations, including financial and resource forecasting.• Created alternative oil shale project development plans for presentation to directors and potential investors.

As Co-Founder and CEO of a publishing company based in Hawaii, was responsible for all design, production, and financial issues. Created many new publishing products, culminating in the nationally awarded (for excellence) Island Home magazine with an international circulation of over 50,000 copies per issue. The magazine featured the most expensive homes around the world, all based on islands, plus many island lifestyle features. Island Productions also featured many celebrity homes, and was a sponsor for Celebrity Sports Invitational charity events throughout the USA and Mexico.• Created and implemented new marketing strategies, expanding annual revenues to $2.2M.• Managed all design/print operations, and became one of the very first publishers in the USA and Hong Kong to go directly from computer graphic design/layout programs to print film/plates.• Created detailed expansion plans with cash flow models and 5 year accounting forecasts using key performance factors, to take annual revenue from $2M to over $15M via PPO.• Supported several Celebrity Sports charity events and created magazines, programs, and introductions to sponsors.

Responsible for evaluating all Prudhoe Bay (Alaska) construction projects. As part of Joint Task Force (Exxon, ARCO, and BP) analysed and evaluated previous projects, and developed new approaches to reduce costs. Evaluated every new project submission (from $10M to $1,200M) from development engineering department to assess economic performance, and provide executive management with recommendations. Specifically: • Recommended, created, and implemented new contract and engineering strategies to reduce project costs reducing SOHIO expenditures by $250M over 4 years.• As senior SOHIO task force representative, analyzed oil development detail costs (down to design $/manhr and #/hours) for both ARCO and SOHIO (as operators) for Prudhoe Bay oil field. Recommended changes to executive management that reduced costs by over $250M over three years on both sides of the field.• Created Estimating & Economic Analysis and Planning & Analysis departments, for internal and external budget and cost reviews, and analyses for offshore oil/gas lease bidding strategies.• Created schedule compression forecasting system to provide executive and project management with a tool to optimize project economics, avoiding over $150M in unnecessary expenditures, while simultaneously reducing contractor change orders and project cost inflation.• Coordinated and played lead role in ‘base-line' budget evaluations with project managers and executive management, eliminating further $250M from 3 year oil & gas construction budget.• Reviewed and approved development cost estimates of engineering and construction for projects in the range of $10M to $750M, instructing scope and cost changes, or project deletion, where necessary.• Recommended to executive management that staffing levels were too high for future operations. Staffing of 2,500 engineers and project managers was cut to 150 within 12 months. Received a promotion offer to live in Houston, TX.

• Project Control Engineer for a variety of organizations ranging from defense design and production (low level bomb systems), to industrial and petrochemical construction. This work involved preparation of estimates and schedules for projects in many countries from the UK to Iran, and from Malaysia to Alaska.• As Manager of Configuration Control with British Aircraft Corp, was key manager in creating new systems to manage and control all aspects of design control for complete battlefield systems, mainly involving surface-to-air, ground-to-ground, and air-to-ground missile systems. Developed new procedures to control all interfaces between system components. Was nominated by executive management to bring all BAC divisions and sub-contractors up to speed on those procedures and to ensure compliance with BAC and Ministry of Defense requirements.
