As an Aquatic Leader, I utilize my superior interpersonal skills to facilitate public safety by enforcing pool policies and regulations, providing first aid, operating pool features safely, and instructing swimming lessons to people of varying ages, cultural background and abilitiesAs a Senior Aquatic Leader, I have the responsibility to supervise. I have to ensure that the facility is operating smoothly and safely by delegating and organizing the staff’s responsibilities, while considering the needs of the public. I often have to find solutions to resolve problems on the spot, and subsequently discuss the pertinent steps for prevention with the staff. Addressing and taking care of patron or staff concerns is also a vital component of this position.As a SAL (RPT), I am guaranteed at least 20 hours/week consistently. During my time till now, I have been involved in: the development/planning of the Fab55 program, organizational tasks (printing lesson sheets/packages; inputting instructors into Class), supervising in-service stations, approving shift change forms, assisting the skills screening process during the hiring of new incoming Aquatic Leaders, and conflict resolution among patrons and staff.

Coached the Gleneagle Secondary School competitive swim team. The job required me to organize swim practices for swimmers, tailor workouts, and provide proper competitive swimming stroke corrections. It also required me to delegate responsibilities to other coaches.

This position required me to organize and shelve books into their appropriate shelves dictated by the Dewey decimal system, and help students and instructors locate relevant articles.
