I have for the past 17 years built up a career in the residential property acquisition, development and building industry. My career started within one of the big auditing firms, where my focus was within the Corporate Finance sphere and I focused mainly on due diligence work.After sometime within the finance sphere the lure of the property development and construction industry caught my attention and I have been involved in this dynamic industry ever since.I have climbed up the ladder within the sector and have held senior level leadership roles as COO to a multi-faceted property development company with the overall responsibility to drive organisational vision, operational strategy, managing the full HR/Staff function, and a large focus on the cash flow management as well as reporting and analysis of the organisation’s financial performance as well as responsibility for the marketing arm of the business and take responsibility for driving sales accordingly.Prior to this I spent 14 years with a turnkey construction and development company as the Managing Director of the company – a role I flourished in and enjoyed immensely.Again the role had full focus on strategic and operational leadership across all facets of the organization.My biggest career success so far is having navigated my previous organization through some incredible highs but also through some very intense and difficult trading conditions – with my commercial sense and financial background I have had the ability to trade through these challenging times and keep the company afloat.In a nutshell, I became known as an individual who had the resilience and stamina to keep positive and not get overwhelmed and guide the company to success accordingly.With the above in mind, I can be described as a very loyal, hardworking and committed individual, both within my personal as well as private life.I have a very positive outlook on life and face any challenge head on and with great enthusiasm.I believe I add to an organization immensely as I have large scale operational as well as strategic focus and really enjoy leading teams and achieving success accordingly.I thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where I have the ability to influence and drive the organization into the future and where I have client interaction and contact.My financial skills, cash flow management, forecasting/budgeting knowledge is excellent and I believe this is an essential skill in achieving success for an organization.
