Management Analyst
CurrentProvides technical and analytical services in support of the Department of Defense (DoD) Siting Clearinghouse to assess onshore and offshore renewable energy, transmission line, and offshore oil and gas exploration and recovery project impacts on the DoD mission and national security. Analyzes, on average, 400+ renewable energy projects per month for impacts to DoD operations, readiness, testing, and training missions, making recommendations for course of action to DoD. Collaborates with energy project developers and federal, state, and local agencies to facilitate mitigation agreements, ensuring approval of renewable energy development projects while ultimately protecting the DoD mission and national security. Conducts daily intra-governmental engagement with other state and federal government agencies for project-specific and policy discussions. Collaboration end result is focused towards protecting the DoD mission and national security from America's rapid growing sustainable energy portfolio. Maintains monthly and annual metric dashboards through SharePoint. Drafts and coordinates reports and briefs to congress, memorandums and letters to Secretarial level leaders and Congressional Representatives in all matters of sustainable energy development and compatibility with DoD's mission. Coordinates correspondence management between the Military services, other OSD offices, General Counsel and the Siting Clearinghouse on all matters of onshore and offshore sustainable energy and oil and gas exploration and recovery projects. Develops agendas, project watch lists, and meeting minutes for bi-weekly working group meetings to address energy projects and discuss agreement status and discuss ways forward for problematic projects.
