Regional Operations Manager(China)
Current1. Operations duties· Support the Managing Director for the assigned Region to ensure the implementation of the Company Business Plan and Safety Plan in their region.· Manage day-to-day operations of the local team to ensure process efficiency and cost effectiveness of the business.· Oversee program to build competence and capability of the local team including inspection, friction test, Safety Management System, HEMP, MoC, Auditing training, etc.· Participate in Monthly Safety and Operations Meeting/teleconference and periodic engagements.· Build a continuous improvement agenda which incorporates best practices globally and which generates value for the local business demands, culture and processes including HSSE.· Participate in new global projects, conferences, meetings, and industry events where relevant.2. Business Development duties· Contact potential clients to establish rapport, arrange meetings and maintain good business relationship with regular engagement/updates.· Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives/needs.· Coordinate movements of products across countries including freight forwarding protocols.· Find, develop and conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs to improve sales.· Assist to develop business proposals and quotes and for clients.· Conduct periodic trend analysis of market trends or emerging risks, and to develop and implement appropriate remedial plans for the region.3. Safety duties· Champion safety leadership attributes and felt visibility to local team to ensure safety remains as top priority in the pursue of no harm to Personnel and Protection of the Environment.· Consolidate, validate and report HSSE performance for the Region.· Contribute to the development of the annual Safety audit program, execute and support the close out of actions identified.· Ensure that all incidents and near misses/unsafe acts are captured and reported periodically.
