During college, I interned for Principal within the PDO, assisting Investment Directors with new loan origination. I took the required semester off college to complete the internship and found working with commercial real estate exciting and unique with every new investment opportunity. After college, I continued my career as Principal, consistently moving up to my current position as Investment Director. What I really enjoy about my work is solving complex problems for multiple parties with often competing agendas. I thrive on the interaction, collaboration, and the negotiation it takes to close a successful deal. Cultivating trusted client relationships is a critical part of my role. Being connected in the industry helps me to stay abreast of opportunities to generate new business with brokers, bankers, investment brokers, developers, and property owners. Earning their respect gives me leverage in negotiating mutually satisfactory terms and conditions for all parties.I’m counted on to conduct property due diligence, prepare potential investment opportunity summaries and negotiate loan applications to procure favorable financial terms. I present investment opportunities to portfolio management teams, Real Estate Investment Committee, and Senior Investment Committee outlining opportunities and risks to drive informed decisions. I’ve proven my success as an investment director by meeting loan production expectations, closing over $1.2B over five years.
