Support Director of Accounting with maintaining accurate financial records. Ensure company Sales & Use tax is reported accurately and prior to deadlines for U.S. and Canada based entities, as well as ensure all independent contractors' are in compliance with reporting tax to Federal and local magistrates. Audit and reconcile activity on company issued credit cards, and supervise work of accounting clerk(s) in the department.

Flexible position that works on needs inside the land development department as they arise. Duties include but are not limited to bookkeeping, accounting for the department (payables, journal entries, GL reconciliation), budget oversight, contract management of subcontractors for various projects, financial reporting to senior management, and various other tasks related to developing parcels for residential and commercial use. Management of project budget to minimize cost overruns GL Reconciliation for various entities/projects Processing payables for land development department Process Journal Entries to ensure accuracy of accounting records Prepare bid packages to potential subcontractors for planned work Award contracts to subcontractors, and maintain records of active contracts Prepare payment applications for owner when working as General Contractor Point of contact for subcontractors, Engineers, Architects, Surveyors, and department liaison for internal and external partners
