I created Luck Of Legends to combine two of my passions: teaching writing and game design. Using a unique approach, I create collaborative, creative, supportive communities of learners in remote classes, where students build worlds together and adventure within them, building strong writing skills and developing a passionate love of writing.Equitable, ethical, and excellent education is a right, and the only way to build a more just and peaceful world. As a classroom teacher, I helped build supportive, successful schools that helped low-income students grow into confident, caring community builders and innovative, creative, analytical thinkers.I taught critical thinking through Common Core-aligned units on current, community-relevant issues with a focus on behavioral science research, collegiate composition, and advanced reading and analytical skills.I have an MAEd, an MA in Japanese, am certified to teach English and Japanese, and have extensive instructional, curriculum design, and teacher mentorship experience. I am also certified to teach ERWC.
