Interacting with people is an important part of my life, whether it is on stage performing with my band, talking with people I work with, or when speaking to an existing or potential client. In my 20+ years of experience in the retail business, the most important skill I believe I have learned is communication. I also picked up many other aspects of business over the years as well, and it eventually drove me to further my education to gain a better understanding of the subject. Working in both salary and commission-only sales environments, I know what it is like to work long hours, and also work hard for money. Retail, or sales in general, can be difficult at times, but also very rewarding. I have discovered that the rewards are more than just money, but the feeling of accomplishment and satisfaction that one feels after closing a deal. In May of 2019, I will be graduating from the University of Colorado-Global Campus with a Bachelors of Science with a marketing emphasis. Going back to school has been a challenge, but it has also been very rewarding. I love to learn and to teach, and I'm a strong believer in having an open mind when it comes to business.
