Hi, my name is Michael - thanks for stopping by! I am currently working at Knox Council as Local Laws Officer.I previously worked with Greyhound Racing Victoria, as a steward. My primary focus is to research all aspects of the sport, effectively manage, promote, and develop a vibrant industry to ensure expansion and maximise opportunities for all. A large part of my current role is monitoring, analysing and evaluating performance, consulting and engaging with key departmental staff, and providing timely, compelling and concise advice to enable effective decision making.While I am, without a doubt, an animal lover, my true passion is football and acting as an adolescent mentor. I am incredibly passionate about grassroots sport and the role that sport plays within the community. I have held Operations Manager and Head Coach roles within the Eastern Football League and the VFL. I have a deep understanding of high-performance principles, and relevant coaching qualifications. I am a very approachable, respectful and dependable individual who works hard and with enthusiasm. I set high standards for myself and hold myself accountable. Before working for GRV, I worked as a Team Leader for companies like The Coles Group, JB HiFi and Clive Peters within their Accounts departments. Duties included: business administration support (finance), operations, stakeholder, and people management. I have also worked as a service technician, pick and packer, and in various accounts payable roles. Without tooting my own horn too much (I'm quite humble), I'm a likeable colleague, who brings a sense of family and fun to any job.
