My main responsibilities were to reconcile cash and assets from the custodian and investment manager to the accounting platform on a daily basis. In addition I worked on a multitude of projects such as implementing new accounting software and working on the implementation for portfolios to move from our legacy accounting platform to the new accounting platform and analyzing the impact of general ledger entries. Other project work included onboarding new clients to the company, working with clients to show comparison of the impact to the general ledger when importing the data to Blackrock accounting platform compared to the legacy accounting system the clients were moving from.

Starting my career as an entry level accountant I learned and developed skills over the years and was promoted to supervisor and manager before ending my tenure. Accomplishments that helped me achieve these goals was attention to detail, always meeting deadlines and being proactive to complete all projects and goals. Working on projects such as accounting software implementation, syndicated bank loan accounting and analytical expert in this field allowed me to work with technology teams and streamline a completely manual process per portfolio to an complete client by client reconciliation that would be able to run on a daily basis and reduce risk and errors in a large volume due to reducing the amount of manual intervention and increasing the ability to being analytical of data in a realtime basis.
