Management of the commercial and recycling aspects of the WA Container Deposit Scheme (10 cent container refund) and extending on my prior position which managed logistics and processing which successfully commenced in October 2020. Functions include managing revenue received from beverage suppliers and all finance functions including financial reporting, compliance reporting to government and evaluating and appointing successful service providers; building relationships with recyclers and associated contracts, managing the logistics and processing of redeemed containers throughout WA and ensuring they are recycled. Extremely successful implementation of the scheme was across 200 sites on the one day with no major issues arising. Stakeholder engagement includes recyclers, logistics and waste companies. I have also acted as CEO on numerous occasions including during the announcement and implementation of statewide COVID lockdowns, necessitating immediate changes to business wide operational status and urgent communication across multiple channels including scheme participants, the public and numerous government departments.
