Performs various processes to assist in the production and analysis of germanium material.Assembles and loads furnaces in a timely and sterile mannerManages, maintains, analyzes, and repairs high-purity, semiconductor furnaces and chemical processes within the crystal lab, requiring the handling of hazardous materials.Facilitates precision movements, timing, and constant hands-on supervision of materials, while maintaining the highest level of excellence with regard to purity.Maintains a continuous maintenance program on RF generators, clean room, and overall work areaTroubleshoots, identifies, logs, and corrects inconsistencies of crystal purity or crystal control issues Prepares and analyzes samples to test crystal purity and crystalline structure using visual, automated and manual processes;Records data and utilizes software programs to determine the probability of the materials’ usefulness by testing purity and structure;Utilizes a database to determine customer needs;Interacts with manager, supervisor, and other personnel to ensure goals are met;Trains laboratory new hiresLead Technician on R&D projectsProcess and load germanium for zone refining.Requisition parts and supplies. Inspect incoming components for conformity.Maintain routine safety programs.Assist with process documentation.
