As part of System Engineering and Integration organization developed team, processes and policies for creation of Large Scale Integrated Hazard Analysis (IHA) that brought together analyses from NASA Constellation Projects/Centers/and Contractors to identify and mitigate hazards that arise due to interfaces, interactions and influences between respective parts of the program across system life cycle. IHA included an independent analysis of program from top down to assure all potential integrated hazards are identified and mitigated. Managed and brought effort (that was initially 2 years behind schedule) to same maturity as program in time for successful Preliminary Design Review. Program including IHA was managed in a Community of Practice structure where expertise was drawn from most relevant source (eg: any NASA Center/Contractor/Independent Advisor) and work from all levels was looked at in a collaborative environment rather than a hierarchal structure.

Houston, Texas Area

Acted as Chief Engineer for S&MA. Provided audits and reviews of Boeing Safety and Mission Assurance Products to be delivered to NASA customers for Manned Spaceflight Programs. Created Safety and Hazard Analysis Education Classes that were taught to all NASA JSC contractors. Served as Boeing Safety and Mission Assurance manager for major proposal development. Partnered with NASA customer to lead 6 month Recovery effort to bring ISS Hazard Analysis back to previous performance levels and on time deliveries which were the norm prior to leaving program for proposal work.
