Provided one on one and small group educational/academic support for eligible migrant children and youth. Conducted ESL instruction to eligible migrant out of school youth. Helped students (adolescents) to overcome the disadvantages associated with language and cultural barriers, social isolation, and limited access to community-based resources. Organized and lead events, field trips, and experiential educational activities for MEOP staff and eligible migrant youth and families. Provided interpretation support for eligible migrant youth and parents during school meetings, medical visits, court appearances, immigration proceedings, etc... Provided academic support through after school program. Specialized in helping disadvantaged, at-risk teens to prepare for high-stakes exams and to work toward second language acquisition.
