Delivered 2D gel and iTRAQ data analysis and interpretation for the project and initiated discussions with a Key Opinion Leader, Prof. Gregory Gores, Mayo Clinic, to obtain a clinical context for our observations.Delivered crucial iTRAQ proteomics analysis for a large Systems Biology effort to understand the role of glucagon signaling in maintenance of glucose homeostasis and alpha cell hyperplasia. Shaped the interpretation of the data streams from the Proteomics, Transcriptomics, and Metabolomics workflows to integrate all the data available to the team. Collaborated with Key Opinion Leader, Dr. Johanna Seddon, in Age-related Macular Degeneration to integrate a proteomic analysis of stratified AMD patient plasma with blinded genotype data from the same patients. Identified potential links of two proteins to genetic markers being studied by Dr. Seddon.Managed Pfizer's $1.5 M USD Fee-for-Service agreement with the Australian Proteome Analysis Facility. Supervised the 2D gel electrophoresis laboratory operations. Established laboratory SOP's and coordinated the development of QA/QC procedures for the laboratory. Directed the 2D gel electrophoresis laboratory initiative for a custom LIMS and data analysis system.
