• Responsible for implementing the Short Haul Rescue / Crew Chief Program for the Maine Forest Service. Accountabilities include; authoring all program procedures, providing hands-on instruction, testing all new procedures and equipment prior to implementing, conducting rigorous evaluations and quarterly qualifying events for the 10 crewmember team. • Represented the State of Maine in 8 out of state forest fires. Served as a Crew Boss and Engine Boss for a crew of up to 21 firefighters. Leadership role entailed regular situation assessment, the delegation of assignments, communication of task changes, ensured the safety of team members and equipment and provided just in time coaching and guidance. • Enforce all environmental and fire laws for large corporate landowners and citizens of the state. This is accomplished by a thorough understanding of applicable laws, assist in the interpretation of laws, clearly explain when a violation has occurred and the issue of summons when appropriate.

• Held leadership positions with direct responsibility of up to 1700 Aviation Maintenance personnel and a $3.4 billion budget. • Served as an Evaluator on the Aviation Maintenance Manager Team. Worked collaboratively with the team to create standardized instructions and self-auditing tools, conducted regular site audits, met with staff to review audit outcomes, provided recommendations to address deficiencies and provided support in preparation of future audits. • Served as the Radiation Safety Officer for Naval Air Station, Brunswick Maine. Authored the Radiological Affairs Instruction and ensured compliance for the base. • Conducted regular inspections to ensure compliance of U.S. Navy safety, instructions and procedures.
