Degree educated, with ITIL Version 3 Expert certification, currently developing myself in Splunk, Linux & other operational tool-set. Recently becoming a Certified Splunk User.In recent years, I have designed, deployed and documented a large Zabbix monitoring solution (6.5k host with 90k items) along with Grafana dashboards to enable internal and external customers access to the data collected by Zabbix. This has also been used to simplify and automate customer reporting.A wide range of experience within a large public sector IT department including system administration, change management, data networks and application support and development.Responsible for implementing system monitoring, application support and documenting processes; through continuous improvement, bring them in line with ITIL best practice and compliant with company and customers policies.In previous roles, I have been involved in compliance, policy and process management.Outside the of the work environment, I am involved with a local Live Action Role Play group (LARP), sending time building props and costumes, as well as promoting the hobby in both the area as well as at national events.
