While I am now a sole proprietor, over the years I have practiced in Michigan and Arizona with partners and staff as MMA associates, Inc. and High Desert Design - Architecture, Inc.Extensive experience in residential and commercial projects including architectual project management and Owner representation for major commercial projects. Projects include new construction, renovation, additions, historic restoration and energy efficient design.Certified by the NCARB (National council of Architectural Licensing Boards) and have held licenses in ten states.

Staff architect

As the principal architect I was responsible for management of a firm with a staff up to ten and was the lead person for site planning, design, construction documents and construction administration of a variety of projects of all sizes in twenty five states and Canada. Clients included Local Government, Churches, Developers, Retailers, and Non-Profit Organizations and were located from Seattle Washington to Washington D.C.

Responsibilities on major multi-level regional shopping centers included the coordination of outside architects and design consultants with the developer's in-house construction and operations departments. Projects were designed and constructed on a "fast-track" basis, requiring an ongoing dialog with field staff, subcontractors, suppliers, governmental agencies and special consultants that included sculptors and lighting designers.

Responsible for coordinating the timely design and construction of hundreds of retail tenant spaces in nine regional shopping centers in eight states. Projects included the vast variety of restaurants, shops and services found in major regional shopping centers. I redesigned many of the stores and many were also built out by the developer's construction department under my direction.
