• In partnership with a Historical Climatologist secured grant funding from multiple public and private sources to conduct the successful archaeological search for the Nova Zembla shipwreck located on the northeast coast of Baffin Island, Nunavut.• Project planning and execution included historical archival reviews, coordinating multiple partners for field operations including the Nunavut Government, Parks Canada, and the Nunavut Department of Fisheries, with the Inuit communities of Pond Inlet and Clyde River, and report writing as per the guidelines of the Nunavut Government Heritage Department.• As the archaeological project director, I was responsible designing and establishing aremote terrestrial and marine field camp for project personnel while following territorial safety policies.• To ensure the project followed ethical guidelines, I sought consultation from the Inuit communities of Pond Inlet and Clyde River, and local stakeholders to define the scientific significance of the project.

• Coordinated and collaborated with local Science Centre to disseminate Arctic/renewable energy research to various communities including adults, children, and professionals.• Liaised with national science program, Beakerhead, to design and facilitate Arctic learning through a combination of science and art activities for local community.• Collaborated with Calgary Board of Education, Rockyview District School Board, and Calgary Catholic School Board to provide and facilitate Arctic curriculum for grade 2 classes.• Independently designed a digital resource for classroom facilitation following COVID-19 school closure. • Responsible for ensuring all station operations and functions complied with territorial and municipal governments, and university policies and procedures; including safety and re-opening plans following COVID-19 closure to ensure facility safety and ongoing scientific functioning.• Planned and coordinated operations and maintenance of facility including grounds keeping, power and utilities, and equipment management.• As part of a team I was responsible for hiring and managing seasonal employees while following university policies regarding diverse representation of employees.• Managed station finances including preparation of reports for university management and board of directors to provide transparency of operations and consultation.• Worked in partnership with local First Nations (Kluane First Nation and Champagne-Aishihik First Nation) and stakeholders, including board of directors and other stakeholders, to create a 5-year Strategic Plan for station initiatives and direction.

• Hired as a contractor by oil, forestry, and development companies to conduct environmental impact assessments and heritage consultation for pipelines, well pads, logging, and infrastructural developments.• Client engagement included contacting landowners and stakeholders to foster a positive working relationship and manage client as well as landowner expectations and timelines of project.• Completed project planning based on a strong understanding of provincial legislation to ensure expertise in heritage management.• Completed archaeological reports in accordance with the guidelines of the Governments of Alberta and Saskatchewan.

• As part of a consulting team, I supported management with project planning, direction, and report writing.• With support of management, conducted archaeological assessments in remote locations within the provinces of Alberta and Saskatchewan.• Utilized strong communication and negotiation skills to provide recommendations based on heritage legislation to inform project and company goals.• Wrote first draft of report before submitting to management for review.• Coordinated and collaborated with other consulting professionals (e.g. engineers, surveyors, biologists) to complete holistic environmental assessments.
