CurrentI sent this out to all company employees, but I have also enjoyed working and conversing with those in my LinkedIn Network. Thought I would send to you all if you wish to keep in touch. My last day as VP of Product Management & Business Development @ NWEA was 11/212017.What an honor it has been to work with so many very smart and passionate people. As I retire to my family please know that the last 14 years have meant the world to me. Don’t be a stranger. If I’m not on the golf course, on a beach or napping I can be reached at: michaeldeanmoore@gmail.co Here are a few final thoughts, a list of ten things I have learned or tried to practice over the last 14 years, in no particular order. They have helped me, I offer them as encouragement. • Words Matter – because they are the currency by which we exchange ideas and reach understanding.• Use your PTO without guilt – it is very generous and there for a reason• Assume positive intent both at work and at home• If you want to build trust put your focus and energy into building relationships, before reputation.• Count it a blessing if your idea or proposal initially gets shot down with a NO! o The no’s are an opportunity for learning if you take the time to unpack them.• Remember sometimes a NO really means not yet!• Develop your people or die – it takes everyone on the team to deliver repeated success. No single position or person can carry this organization where it needs to go!• On the rare occasion, you get frustrated or angry and need to smash something – o First smash your personal agenda, then your egoo Then ask yourself this question – In the span of eternity how important is this to me and the world?• In difficult situations ask yourself - Can I address this issue with grace and forgiveness and give up trying to be right?• Ask yourself often – What is the next most important thing to accomplish to contribute to achieving our Mission. God Bless all of you – you will be missed
