For the past decade of my design career I have been fortunate to work for Rally Creative. There I advanced my skills to a higher level. My ability to understand client needs and how to better fulfill those expectations increased as well. Rally is a mid-sized creative studio so, I really had an opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the project. This entailed naming the project, creating the brand and implementing the approved brand design into numerous components; print material, sales centre environment, wayfinding signage and digital. There are many components in a design campaign and I took great pride in ensuring the brand I was developing would be impactful and visually cohesive. Rally is a very fast moving studio, streamlined to produce a lot in very little time. Deliverables are scaled to meet budgets so, Rally has taught me to be conscious of profitability by managing my time effectively on projects. In this ever-changing economic climate, survival relies on being ultra-efficient and I feel that I am well suited to meet these demands thanks to my time at Rally.

Ranked consistently in the top ten BC design firms during that time, I was thrilled when the principle Doug Fleming asked me to join their award-winning team. There I became a lead designer for Nintendo of Canada and was responsible for creating and producing bilingual, national campaigns. My proudest achievement was the highly successful design and launch of the Nintendo Wii. But it wasn’t all fun and games! I also began my lengthy history of designing for real estate at Fleming. This allowed me to create brands that were sophisticated in nature. I developed an ability to switch my design methodology quickly and effectively to serve the two distinctly different industries. This has proven to be a valuable skill set throughout my design career.
