As the appointed chair of the planning commission I provided leadership in community engagement & collaborative planning processes including municipal plan & bylaw updates, grant-applications, assessment of current conditions and identification of policies and strategies to address desired future community outcomes.

An international, not-for-profit commodity development project working with Honduran coffee farmers to export, market and sell coffee in the US with revenue directed back into development projects abroad.I co-developed and managed the project from inception. I engaged in product development, collaboration with a Honduran small-farmers' cooperative, marketing and sales, and creative networking to increase sales. Outcomes included generation of non-profit revenue, strengthening of the farmers' co-op through export experience, cash influx and product development and support of other local non-profits through coffee sales program.

I managed the creation and development of this unique academic-business hybrid from inception through stand-alone operation. Efforts included developing and refining a business plan, bringing multiple campus units to the table to ensure project viability, drafting and implementing fundraising strategy with over $50k raised in cash and in-kind support, development of operation procedures, staff hiring, network development with VT entrepreneurs and collaboration with academic units for student learning activities.

Operation and maintenance of central heat plant including: Monitor and maintain automated and manual controls, Water-testing and water quality maintenance, high and low pressure steam systems and gas/oil boilers.
