• Senior health physicist in US Army Europe; Organized, led and trained the Radiological Advisory Medical Team-Europe (RAMT-E). Successfully executed an annual budget exceeding $100K.• Principle advisor to the Commanding General (CG), Regional Health Command Europe, for matters pertaining to medical use of radiological materials and radiological emergency response.• Initiated and built relationships with German Bundeswehr’s Institute of Radiobiology and other German Governmental Organizations to strengthen emergency response and other partnership initiatives.

Aberdeen Maryland

HP for Nuclear Disablement Team 1 (NDT-1) • Executed health hazard assessments in support of missions associated with nuclear infrastructure analysis and sensitive site exploitation, technical nuclear forensics, WMD material and equipment elimination. Ensured radiation exposures were kept As Low As Reasonably Achievable (ALARA) and policies were consistent with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) guidelines.• Selected, ensured timely calibration, operated, and instructed others on $2M worth of instrumentation used to locate, assess and characterize radiation hazards to include high-purity germanium gamma spectroscopy. Performed isotopic identification in conjunction with DoE TRIAGE program to characterize radiological threats.• Established and enforced personal protective equipment posture, radiation exposure limits and action levels in the surveying, handling, disablement and transport of radiological/nuclear material associated with the nuclear fuel cycle.• Developed a comprehensive written respiratory protection program for the NDT to align newly acquired SCBA capability with 29 CFR 1910 requirements.• Served three rotations as principal DoD Health Physicist for the NNSA-led, multiagency, National Technical Nuclear Forensics Task Force (TF-NTNF), responsible for establishing a combined (DoE/DoD) hotline and personnel decontamination.

Heidelberg Area, Germany

• Selected as lead medical planner for Joint Task Force-East civic action programs in Bulgaria and Romania, negotiating and coordinating the performance of 15 combined clinical outreach missions between US military health care providers and host nation medical authorities in local villages throughout the Novo Selo and Constanta communities. • Deployed for 11 months to the Combined Joint Medical (CJMED) Section of the NATO ISAF Joint Command (IJC), Kabul, Afghanistan. Supervised the Aeromedical Evacuation desk in Operations Center, responsible for the real-time oversight of all tactical MEDEVAC missions conducted by Regional Commands.

Aberdeen Maryland

• Selected to serve as project officer for testing and NVLAP-accreditation for a prototype Deployable Dosimetry Laboratory (DDL) built for the US Army Dosimetry Center in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.• Executed a MARSSIM-style final status survey of the Army Contaminated Equipment Retrograde Team’s (ACERT) yard in Camp Arifjan, Kuwait, to determine presence of depleted uranium in preparation for facility turnover to local authorities

Ft Bragg, North Carolina

• As a member of the nation’s Tier One Special Mission Unit, supported the NNSA’s Joint Technical Operations Team (JTOT) in CWMD interdiction missions.• Performed training rotations at the Nevada National Security Site to perfect underground explosive breaching tactics, techniques and procedures in support of the Special Operations contribution to the DTRA hard target defeat program.

Fort Davis Panama

• Assault Team member for the SOUTHCOM Commander in Chief’s (CINC’s) in-extremis force (CIF)• Multiple deployments to various Central and South American nations, instructing host nation special operations forces in direct action military tactics and techniques.
