I am recent graduate from the University of Minnesota with a degree in Agricultural Communication & Marketing. The coursework further offers me a diverse skillset of marketing, management, communication, and more. I have also recently completed the required coursework and exams in order to receive my Minnesota real estate salesperson's license. With this license I plan to further my career in the property management/development field.During my college tenure I worked as a board member of the University of Minnesota Advertising Club, acting as Secretary. The Advertising Club is an organization that offers students of the University of Minnesota an opportunity to learn more about the industry itself, as well as network with career professionals. Each week we invite a guest speaker to talk with us about their career path in advertising and how we can best prepare ourselves for the future. As secretary, I am responsible for keeping members up to date on important events and opportunities. As co-president this past year, I have leveraged my leadership skills to increase membership and expand networking opportunities for our members. This past year our team worked to adopt an all-virtual setting for club meetings while still managing to increase membership.This past year I worked as lead copywriter for the 2021 Ad2 Student Advertising Summit; one of the most important networking events for young professionals in the advertising and marketing industry. This position allowed me to not only showcase my writing capabilities at a professional level, but also gain leadership experience working with and delegating tasks to my intern. Along with producing the necessary copy, I collaborated with our team on multiple aspects of the planning process as well as providing input on the overall structure of the event.The past five summers were spent working in Maynard's Restaurant in Excelsior, Minnesota located on Lake Minnetonka. My primary responsibilities were to assist boat owners and their families to safety navigate the marina and assist them in docking their boat. Additionally, I have work as head of the security team the past three summers. As head of the security team, I help manage a team of 19 employees help collectively ensure the safety of our customers. This position has also provided me with excellent networking opportunities as well as the opportunity to improve my communication and interpersonal skills.
