This involved work on systems in Asia, Europe, and US, and included setting up contracts with 3rd parties to do some of the work, as well as leading internal technology teams.Prior to that that led a successful programme in a major international firm to establish a new networking capability for the financial markets. This involved leading the technology work and the marketing and sales work required for the launch of a new product globally. The role also involved driving through the necessary business process changes for a significant new revenue stream for the company. Also helped a major IT firm turnaround its engagement with a large UK utility company, requiring changes to project governance, staffing, processes and technology.Previous roles included leading a successful business change programme in an international company providing procurement services to manufacturing companies and utilities. This involved transforming the business from a federated regional organisation with be-spoke local systems, to a global organisation based on a new global IT platform. It required running in parallel a portfolio of projects around the globe and extensive customer engagement.Also led another programme in a global company in the Financial Markets. This was to prepare the business to handle major changes in the marketplace that would require rapid changes to the company’s IT systems and data. The role involved identifying and prioritising areas that needed enhancement and driving through the necessary changes. Prior to that, as an IT consultant recommended changes to the IT Strategy and Budget for another major financial institution. The CEO, who commissioned the review, accepted all the key findings.
