Tangerine Torpedo LLC produces iOS apps. My wife, a professional graphic designer does the creative while I do the rest from conception, to front-end and back-end development, to analytics, to marketing. The majority of my time, however, is spent coding in Objective-C. So far, the focus has been on word/trivia games with '4 Clues' being the most popular title to date, reaching the top 1000 free apps overall in the US and Canada with over 50,000 downloads. 'Wordogram' has captured many addicted fans as well.While I set up an Amazon EC2 instance with mongoDB as the backend for our first games, I've been enjoying using Parse.com for the newer titles (some of which have yet to be released on the app store).Under Tangerine Torpedo LLC, I also have begun doing some contract iOS work. I am currently working on an app that controls and interacts with a child's toy for a company based in LA.

This extends to corporate and promotional websites, and email blasts. I act mostly as a consultant, but from time to time, will step in to do advanced coding.

SweetRush Inc. is a bootstrapped company formed in 2002, focussing on building custom e-learning trainings for fortune 500 companies. As cofounder and CTO, I wore many hats as the company grew to over 100 people. My main focus always remained the same: to employ technology to stay as lean and profitable as possible, while never comprising the quality or creativity of the work we produced.Perhaps my greatest contribution to the company was authoring the SweetRush Flash Framework - the platform on which SweetRush continues to build almost all the trainings for their clients. The Framework allows all content, structure and design assets to be externalized, rather than embedded in the compiled Flash. This enables the instructional designers, the graphic designers, the animators, and the developers to focus on their core skills while never having to write a line of actionScript code.In 2009, the company went virtual. As some of our biggest clients such as Bank of America got hit by the housing crisis, we needed to scale back and become more lean than ever to ensure our survival. We already had people working for SweetRush all over the globe, so getting rid of our San Francisco office seemed more than plausible. It was perhaps a testament to the technology and the production processes in place that enabled such a successful transition and significant recovery. In fact, at that time I rolled out a refined production process and a new task management system that was paramount to our success. Following this implementation, we saw our production costs cut in half.

In 2000, I built AffiliateFind. This was an online directory and search engine for all the major marketing affiliate programs available at the time.
