Made essential contributions to an ambitious startup project offering solutions for cloud server management. I had the unique opportunity to contribute to whatever aspects I could, and was privileged to learn from it immensely. My Linux skills blossomed as I wrote code and scripts to discover and model properties of server applications. I also made minor contributions to our web UI using JavaScript, CSS, and MooTools. I wrote our multi-platform installer, and later wrote Debian and RPM packages. I spearheaded our deploy process, and helped configure and manage several production environments. I wrote and led much of our wiki documentation and functional specification writing. I also helped organise our development team and manage our project with Agile techniques, leading daily scrums, sprint kick-offs and retrospectives, tracking tasks in a Kanban-like view, and helping to define and oversee our development process. This application had a very challenging UI design, including elements such as tree menus whose branches were loaded dynamically; we were successfully able to fully implement this design and it has been well-received by customers.
