Keep property equipment functioning, and guest units in good repair and keeps premises presentable by performing the tasks in the maintenance manual and as directed by General Manager, Assistant Manager, and Regional Manager of Facilities. Assists with other staff as directed. Assists guests in any way possible. Perform repairs listed on work orders and maintains the work orders as a record of work completed. Schedules and ensures proper completion of work that may need to be accomplished by outside vendors. Maintaining and routine cleaning of unit air conditioners (PTAC’s) and ensuring fire safety equipment (fire alarm system, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, etc.) are operational and that inspections are current.

Maintain and make minor repairs to areas of the facility and systems that are not covered by outside contractor, such as beds: wheelchairs, Geri-chairs, and routine maintenance and repairs to electrical equipment and systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, and HVAC systems. Responsible for maintaining maintenance budget keeping accurate records of money spent on various maintenance accounts. Provided a variety of tasks including staying current with state regulations on Life Safety codes with the Ohio Department of Health.

Worked directly with the employment agency working for temporary employment in the maintenance field. Employment consisting of working at a manufacturing plant doing maintenance to apartment complexes in the same line of work.

Directly worked with the school leader on major repair issues to the school. Operated and maintained the schools boiler system performing preventative maintenance on pumps and piping. Performed monthly fire alarm drills and servicing of the fire system. Worked with outside contractors to keep vital services up and running adhering to life safety codes. Maintaining a school maintenance budget on a monthly basis.
