DEUZ AG UK Branch is responsible for the sales and service in the UK and Ireland of the diesel, gas and electric drivetrains produced by DEUTZ AG in Germany. DEUTZ covers a wide array of applications in sectors as diverse as agriculture, construction, material handling , stationary equipment, marine , railway, automotive and ground support. Essentially the company is made up of two divisions, the new engine division, and the aftersales division. We supply new and exchange engines, replacement parts and a range of engineering services. I lead a team of 26 people including twelve mobile service technicians. Diagnosis, repair and maintenance are the defining tasks of the technicians’ jobs. The work itself is a mix of old and new technology as it involves mechanical engineering skills and utilising specialised bespoke software. I am experienced in – operations management, general management, business process improvement, creating sales and marketing initiatives, co-ordinating business strategy, financial management, delivering profitable growth, championing appropriate use of technology to support business objectives and reduce costs, stakeholder management with employees, OEM & DEUTZ dealers and customers, purchasing management.
