About Michael Nye

The path I have taken may not be the conventional one, but it has been one of self-discovery and enjoyment. At this stage, I am at a branch, ready to separate off the track once more. I spent just over 3 years teaching Mathematics to high school learners. It was a fantastic experience interacting with the learners and witnessing them grow, however, there was a crucial aspect missing... I have always known that some of my strongest skills are problem-solving as well as being a quick learner. I am at a stage where I want to challenge myself and become an expert in a field. I want to work with and embrace my strengths. These are some of the reasons why I want to transition towards data and development. I believe, that with experience, this will become my area of expertise. However, my current trajectory is headed towards finding solutions to problems in education using my expertise.On a lighter note, I have many interests outside of the work environment. I am gearing myself up again to complete another Ironman, this time the goal is to complete injury free. I can also be found sweating in a Muay Thai gym in the evenings. I enjoy spending time in nature in a variety of ways. I have recently picked up playing the piano which is more challenging than I thought. Another place where you are likely to find me is taking a dip in the coldest water I can find. It has been a pleasure sharing a part of me with you. I just want to end by saying that I am confident that you will be pleased if you decide to hire me!
