Supervised 52 staff members, performed cost-benefit analysis and oversaw benchmarking/productivity and QI standards in TICU, SICU, and OR. Implemented Advanced Clinical Access (ACA) in the Pain Clinic. Was responsible for a $4.6 million fiscal budget and managed $1.7 million in equipment and managed contracts for medical services (cardiothoracic anesthesia and critical care intensivists in ICU’s) totaling $3.1 million. Achieved 3-year Joint Commission accreditation and successful 3-year Office of Inspector General Compliance visits with minimal findings. Implemented Environment of Care and Safety Program within the service.

Implemented and monitored quality and clinical indicators including patient and employee satisfaction, ensured compliance in matters that include safety, JCAHO, TDH and the Federal Government. Established yearly goals that were in line with Parkland Health & Hospital System. Responsible for $3.7 million fiscal budget and managed $306,000 Texas Department of Health (TDH) grant for diabetic and hypertensive patients. Increased commercial insurance collections by 50%, Medicare reimbursement by 130% and Medicaid reimbursement 131%.
