I am an aspiring Materials Science Engineering looking to launch a career as an Engineer upon graduation from Michigan State University in May 2025. With hands-on experience gained through two summer internships with Lear Corp. and my studies at MSU, I have developed a strong foundation in materials handling, processing techniques and problem-solving.During the internships, I had the opportunity to collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams on problems that honed my technical skills and provided exposure to engineering challenges. Through this experience, I developed an understanding of the importance of innovation and sustainability in engineering.Throughout my time at Michigan State, I have developed strong leadership abilities through my active participation in fraternity activities. I have organized activities and encouraged collaboration with my peers. My commitment to community service is reflected in my involvement in numerous volunteer activities, including the Walk for Autism and East Lansing Food Bank Drives. I am looking to connect with industry professionals and explore opportunities to apply my technical knowledge, skills and practical experience into a challenging role as an Engineer.

    As an Engineering Intern at Lear Corporation’s Connor plant during the summer before my senior year in college, I had the incredible opportunity to work on diverse projects that developed my skills in polymer engineering and operations efficiency. I had the opportunity to collaborate with a talented team of engineers to contribute to the development of innovations, solutions and streamlined processes.Key experiences included:• Prototype Development: I played a role in the design and production of a prototype for a sealing part utilizing 3D printing technology with ABS filament.• Redesign of Storage Systems: I contributed to the improvement of operations by working on the redesign and optimization of the plant’s storage systems. I assisted in developing a plan that accommodated large volumes of products to improve efficiency. • Process improvement: I utilized the “Plan for Every Part” process which I had developed during my previous internship with Lear. This process optimized the procedure for updating labels on production lines and the marketplace. • Solving Technical Problems: I assisted engineers in troubleshooting a challenge they were having with 3D printing by identifying the root cause of the problem they were encountering, which was stemming from moisture absorption in the filaments. This internship provided me with hands-on experience and further developed my analytical and problem-solving skills, preparing me for a career in engineering.
