My responsibilities as Engineering Manager include:• Collaborating closely with the product manager(s) to plan the engineering delivery, manage the project progress and take ownership for engineering delivery• Running day to day operations of a large sized engineering team (around 75-100 members).• Effective people management for a large sized engineering team (around 75-100 members).• Being the career guide for the team and enable career growth for the team.• Managing the planning and the execution for hiring needs of the team.• Be involved in the design reviews for the team and do code reviews for critical parts of engineering deliverables• Being responsible for defining and championing the work culture for the team inline with the company values.• Being the face of the engineering team inside and outside the organization.

My responsibilities as Engineering Lead are to:• Run day to day operations of a medium-sized engineering team (25-30 members)• Collaborate closely with the product manager(s) to plan the engineering delivery, manage the project progress and take ownership for engineering delivery• Actively participate in enhancing the design of existing software components to improve their functionality and performance• Contribute to core processes and best practices both team-wide and company-wide• Promote a learning-centered work culture and help grow a world-class engineering team• Identify opportunities for improvements in engineering processes and make relevant recommendations to the management• Maintain a high-level of communication with cross-functional teams and partners• Manage the hiring needs for the team• Be a career guide for the team and enable the career growth for each member of the team• Be the face of the engineering team inside and outside the organization
