About Michael Ostrom
My vocation is to explore and capitalize on the dynamics of belonging and whole-making: emotional, psychological, sociological, political, cosmological, but especially spiritual and theological. My great passion is to belong deeply to God and to experience this belonging as intimately as Jesus of Nazareth did, to know God as ever-present, ever-sustaining and ever-enriching Abba/Imma. I want to understand and participate in the ways God is leading all of creation into greater and deeper wholeness. I conceive of God as spirit deeply immersed and invested in creation, the “energy of love” (Ilia Delio) at the heart our evolving universe, and a “lively character and active agent” (Walter Brueggeman) in history. To know God fully I believe participation in the community of “compassion and kinship” (Greg Boyle) is key. I’m a natural teacher and encourager. My chief gifts are life-giving conversation and sacred writing.
