Continue to enhance and maintain systems that allow experts to edit and maintain medical and pharmaceutical information. These systems consist of Microsoft SQL and SQLite databases and C# (WinForms and ASP.Net web based) editorial tools that use Linq, Entity Framework, and other technologies for data access.There are also C++/C client side clinical decision support (CDS) modules that access and use this data via a web service type interface (GSOAP). Responsible for making sure these CDS modules build and run on supported Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms.Also responsible for writing and maintaining tools that export data as XML to be consumed by customer facing websites.

Helped to enhance and maintain SQL databases, C# editorial tools, and C++/C client clinical decision support (CDS) modules that communicate via a web service type interface (GSOAP). Helped design and implement new Linux based migration tools that port older (Windows and NetWare based) tool functionality from C and C++, to Ruby and C#. These tools migrate and consolidate file data and associated meta-data from NetWare and Windows Domains to eDirectory on Linux (Open Enterprise Server). These tools are divided into a Command Line Interface (CLI), and a Graphical User Interface (GUI). The GUI uses the CLI to accomplish complex migration tasks.Primary responsibility is the GUI. Designed and coded utility assemblies that other teams within the company can use to implement GUI wizards for their migration CLI tools. This GUI assembly is written in C# to take advantage of the GTK bindings in Mono. The CLI tools are written in Ruby.Responsible for maintenance of older migration tools (Server Consolidation and Migration Toolkit).

Helped design and develop new Active Directory migration tool. This tool is written in C# (primarily using the .Net platform) and migrates file and directory data from Microsoft Active Directory (Windows Server 2000/2003) to eDirectory on NetWare or Linux (Open Enterprise Server).Designed and implemented a unit testing framework for this Active Directory migration tool that takes advantage of open source unit testing frameworks like NUnit, CppUnit, and CUnit.Combined existing migration tools into a single toolkit (Server Consolidation and Migration Toolkit).Designed and implemented a “Launch Wizard” for this toolkit that guides the user in selecting the appropriate tool for his or her migration task.Re-wrote the install of existing migration tools to use ZeroG InstallAnywhere technology (Java based).Ongoing participation in corporate trade shows demonstrating new and old migration tool technologies.
