• Responsible for the guidance, mentorship, and direct oversight of the division’s engineering team, consisting of over 80 professionals in every classic engineering discipline. • Directly responsible for technical execution and innovation in the areas of telemetry, satellite communications, command and control systems, multi-spectral electro-optical and infrared systems, flight termination systems, as well as other related systems. • Engineering Department manager for Mobile Range, grew organization over 8 years from 10-20 to 70-80 engineers with multiple programs resulting in over $300M in bookings • Owned complete lifecycle of Mobile Range® Products: requirement analysis, design and development, integration and test, deployment, and sustainment• Led major proposal efforts to capture new business segments utilizing technology developed during multiple successful IRAD programs.
• Served as lead RF engineer for the Field Test Department responsible for new product development.• Responsible for the design of a multiple band conical scan feed which allows for simultaneous operation in L, S, C, and X band featuring transmit and receive capabilities. The design will be deployed on 6 meter tracking stations for telemetry collection and SATCOM relay mission operations.• Design of a novel, low profile, polarization diverse, auto-tracking antenna for telemetry collection. Design currently has over 75 hours of flight time supporting S-band telemetry operations on multiple platforms.• Member of a team of engineers responsible for conducting telemetry collection and relay for launch events including FTG-03a, FTG-04, STSS-ATRR, HTV-2a, NASA GLORY, HTV-2a Flight 2, and others.• Experience designing and simulating high power microwave components for the Pulsed Power Division of Ktech.• RF and digital circuit board layout and design using Altium Designer.
