Quality Control Lead
Current• Conduct Level 2 Visual Inspection, Magnetic Particle Testing, and Penetrant Testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.• Perform inspections on structural components in accordance with AWS D1.1 acceptance criteria and on piping components following ASME B31.9 standards.• Measure and record dimensions of welded products, ensuring precise adherence to specifications.• Compile and submit detailed daily inspection reports, documenting all findings and actions taken.• Develop and execute inspection and test plans in accordance with project contracts, ensuring that all processes and outcomes meet contract specifications and customer requirements.• Oversee major equipment receiving inspections and manage customer submittal applications to confirm product quality.• Execute torque testing and perform air pressure and hydrostatic testing to verify product integrity.• Conduct P&ID walkdowns to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of piping and instrumentation diagrams.• Facilitate on-site inspections of finished Google products at various location plants, including Columbus, OH; Omaha, NE; and Washington, DC.• Carry out bend testing and final assembly inspections to validate product performance and quality.• Lead and manage a team of 10 personnel, providing guidance and oversight to ensure adherence to high standards of inspection and quality control.• Communicate effectively with engineers, planning teams, and management to align inspection processes with customer needs and project requirements.• Ensure that the team and facility comply with customer contract requirements and project specifications.• Utilize BIM 360 and Go-Canvas applications for form creation and workflow management, enhancing operational efficiency.• Develop and create dimensional and weld maps to support accurate inspection and reporting.• Perform closing, scanning, and filing of work orders to maintain organized and accessible records.
