PhD studies with Antonio Lanzavecchia and Federica Sallusto• Studying autoreactive T cells, B cells, and antibodies in neurodegeneration and autoimmune hepatitis.• Developed a new diagnostic approach to identify autoantibodies in AIH patients.• Engaged intensely in several collaborations studying Myasthenia Gravis and Rheumatoid arthritis.• Participated for over 2 years in "Rheuma Tolerance for Cure" (RTCure), a large public-private partnership (PPP). Actively represented the IRB and presented in regular meetings. Delivered work-package reports and performed research work.• Developed, organized, and taught a lab course for 126 medical students of the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI). Organized and trained 15 tutors and coordinated 2 internal and 3 guest speakers in virtual- and presence settings.

Research project in the laboratory of Prof. Andrea Alimonti• Developed a monoclonal antibody to selectively deplete senescent tumor cells.• Studied the effect of senescent cells on the antibody production of b cells in vivo.

Performed a variety of assays to study the in-vitro toxicity of several compounds.Methods included:• Cell-based assays such as migration-, metabolism-, and proliferation assays.• Molecular biology techniques such as western blotting and PCR.

Preparation and teaching of a laboratory course for bachelor students.
