My primary responsibility is the day-to-day operational management and leadership within the Air New Zealand Airbus A320 Fleet. I provide support and resources to an expert pool of pilots so that this talent group are not only best able to met their daily flying output requirements but are continually developed in order to best support Air New Zealand's strategic goals, and that this support is provided in a safe, effective, efficient and enjoyable environment.The tasks associated with this position include;- Actively ensuring the safety and security of all people, aircraft and assets and procedures engaged within the A320 operation.- Roster and manpower management and planning.- Ensuring all regulatory airworthiness requirements are met.- Ensuring adherence to pilot employment contractual obligations.- Ensuring all technical, operational and performance standards are met by A320 pilots. - Identify training and skills needs for A320 pilots and provide coaching, training and development opportunities. - The development and maintenance of service standards.- Acting as a conduit between A320 pilots and various support and business elements of the airline. - SME participation in development project groups.
