Michael Pep is a Deputy Sheriff. Colleagues describe them as "While I was in Afghanistan photographing AECOM contracts, I spent some time at the shop where Michael managed the program to provide management, maintenance, and supply solutions on the fleet of non-tactical vehicles to the U.S. Embassy in Kabul. At that time, Michael had three western employees and was able to maximize hands-on training with the six Afghan employees that were part of his team. Michael and his team were able to increase the maintenance skills and techniques of the Afghan Maintenance Techs, while also teaching them to read, write, and speak English more fluently. Michael was not only able to make this program a success but he did it in such an austere environment."
