This position reports to the IBEW Local 99 Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (JATC), and is responsible for the training of electrical apprentices employed by signatory contractors of IBEW Local 99, and providing continuing education for all IBEW Local 99 members.

Responsibilities include developing / reviewing / updating / teaching electrical-related energy saving applications for general industry attendees. Topics include troubleshooting, installation requirements, electrical basics, worker safety issues, energy saving applications, and demand side management practices. Classes are periodic and spread from Western New York to Northern Maine.

Instruct students, in the Electrical Technologies Department, in courses dealing with the theory of electricity, electrical code, installation of wiring and equipment, motor control theory and troubleshooting. Instructor for the Department's course dealing with photovoltaic principles, site selection, installation, and electrical code issues. Developed course content, classroom labs, exams, and worksheets. Designed, implemented, and taught a variety of electrical-related topics for: Foxwoods Casino, MC Dean, Inc., Amica Insurance, and a local Boyscout troop.

As a small Electrical Contractor operating in the Industrial, Commercial, and Residential sectors, my responsibilities included consultation, estimation, material list preparation, customer service, installation, renovation, upgrading, repairs and maintenance.
